Obvious selection is obvious.
The ever-reliable All Access has listed the David Guetta assisted "Right Now" under its "Cool New Music" section, meaning that the track is the second, U.S. single. No information on the radio adds date yet.
"Right Now" is my most played track from Rihanna's album "Unapologetic," so I'm not disappointed. Many are predicting a smash hit but there have been many examples of the "radio safe" song not performing as well as predicted - however, given her radio power I'm sure Rihanna has another Top 10 on her hands. I think she could have done better by saving "Right Now" for the summer as a third single, though.
Also, this shouldn't mean anything for "Pour It Up," the song is already taking off on urban radio despite not having an official release, hopefully it'll be confirmed as the official urban single soon.
It was obvious.
ReplyDeleteRight Now is on radio since december in France
The album is so flawless and still the label is going to release one of the weakest tracks. Ugh! Basic shit! But I guess it's what radio can handle these days...
ReplyDelete*bops to Numb*
Agreed, lyrically, it's pretty basic. And "Numb" *is* flawless. I hope her label has the balls to release it.
DeleteUgh Right Now is soooo basic but an obvious choice, like you said.
ReplyDeleteShe should have done Jump as 2nd single because everyone seems to love it. Then Right Now for 3rd. Then who knows after that.
*also bops to the flawfree Numb*
this album has more viable single options than talk that talk: "stay, jump, pour it up, loveeeeeeee song, right now, nobody's business," etc.
ReplyDeleteliterally every song on the album has some segmented or crossover radio appeal to it so she'll be fine and since she's going on a world tour from march to possibly early 2014 i'm sure her label's gonna milk this album for as many singles as it can.
i just can't wait for the "jump" and "right now" videos.
the song is too basic, I actually don't like it. Pour it up is my shit though. Can't wait for that to blow up on urban radio.
ReplyDeletei need What Now? and No Love Allowed as singles.
