According to Pitchfork, Robyn is indeed working on a 2013 release!
During last fall's Pitchfork Music Festival Paris, Pitchfork.tv contributor Dan Huiting sat down for an interview with Robyn. She told Huiting that following her run of European shows, she was headed back into the studio to start writing the follow-up to the 2010 Body Talk series. "I can't write and tour at the same time," she said. "I can record and tour at the same time, but I can't write and tour."
Robyn also talked about what she's listening to these days, and what might inspire the sound of her next album. She namechecked Kindness and Mark E and said, "I kind of lost faith in hip-hop a couple years ago and I'm starting to like, maybe, have people convince me again because of A$AP Rocky and all these people that are coming out now, they have this new energy, you know."
Holy shit! 2013 is going to be the best year for music since 2007. I consider Robyn to be one of the most important figures in pop music. She's always just a bit ahead of the curve.
