Hot 100: Adele & One Direction Debut High

Thursday, October 11, 2012

For another week, Psy's global viral smash "Gangnam Style" was held off by Maroon 5 and their second single "One More Night."

Rihanna's lead single "Diamonds" from upcoming album "Unapologetic" dropped two spots from No. 16 to No. 18. Ke$ha's 'Warrior' lead single "Die Young" dropped one slot from No. 13 to No. 14.

ADELE debuted very high at No. 8 with 007 theme song, "Skyfall." During its release week, "Skyfall" sold 261K copies and debuted at No. 3 on the Digital Songs chart.

One Direction had the highest Hot 100 debut of the week (No. 3) with their, secretly sexual, lead single "Live While We're Young" - 'Young' sold 341K copies and debuted No 1 on the Digital Songs chart.

Bruno Mars' "Locked Out of Heaven" debuted at No. 34, the same position Christina Aguilera's "Your Body" debuted in two weeks ago -- 'Body' climbed up the Hot 100, two slots from No. 64 to No. 62.
