It's time like this that we all wish our fav. artist relied less on studio magic or singing tricks and more on classic vocal training. Kelly Clarkson & Beyonce Knowles both sang the living shit out of their preselected songs during President Barack Obama's second inauguration day. Kelly showed off the vocals the won her the first American Idol in "My Country 'Tis of Thee" and Beyonce lived up to the always high expectations during her performance of the "Star Spangled Banner."
These two women are obviously among the top vocalist of the past two decades and were obviously chosen because they're not known for letting a crowd down when it comes to performing...
I just want you honest opinion of who slayed your life just a little more. Let us know in the comment section below.
For me, I'm torn. Kelly really did show up towards the end of her performance and it really sent me over the edge. Beyonce coasted along perfectly throughout her whole performance, even when the echo in her ear piece caused her to slyly ditch it. They were both on top of their game today.
Beyonce sounded like every other rendition.. Kelly made it special.
