No Doubt is back in the recording studio, this time with Max Martin disciple Johan Schuster, better known as Shellback. Shellback was snapped in studio with No Doubt earlier this month!
Shellback has produced songs like "3" by Britney Spears and even more telling, the reggae infused Maroon 5 track "One More Night," which happens to be right up No Doubt's alley.
I wonder if these new tracks are for a "Push & Shove" re-release or new album though? Hopefully it's for a new album, "Push & Shove" was an amazing album that should stand on its own.

ReplyDeleteit'll be like return of saturn (my fave no doubt album) all over again: an experimental and deeply personal album for them, gwen especially, but the material wasn't very commercial, which was followed up a year later by rock steady, which was a commercial hit for them.
push & shove is just starting to grow on me, but i'm def ready for a new record; i want something with a harder edge.
