Executive producer of JLo's last studio album "Love?" and Greatest Hits single "Dance Again," RedOne, has confirmed that he's executive producing Jennifer Lopez' next studio album - due out next year.
“I’m the executive producer of [Lopez's] album, and we already have songs that are just incredible. It’s just amazing. It’s mixed [styles]. It’s everything about Jennifer Lopez. It’s not one thing; it’s everything you experience. It’s a very special album. It feels like this album, to us, has to have everything about her, not just one thing. You’re going to have all the sides, kind of urban/hip-hop and the commercial, like the way she did with Ja Rule. It’s everything you love about her [including] the dance, the rhythmic, the Latin”.
RedOne better come with the heat because outside of "On the Floor," Miss Lopez' last album just wasn't that great. But honestly, I'm taking RedOne's words with a grain of salt, don't get me started on his failed promises in relation to Nicole Scherzinger's (I spelled her last name right on first attempt, by the way) album, "Killer Love."
Now, how will this new JLo album do if the American Idol machine could only lift "Love?" to 83K copies?
I loved Nicole Scherzinger's album! All of the RedOne produced tracks were brilliant, whilst maybe not 100% fresh, but still really solid pop, especially Killer Love, Poison and Say Yes.
