Okay, so my quick thoughts before I check back for more leaks:
ReplyDelete- The verses on Around the World go off.
- Let There Be Love should have been lead single
- Army of Me is no Fighter
- Shut Up is filler.
Agreed. Outside the verses the song isn't that great, I wish the chorus was stronger.

- Let There Be Love: Great song, but i see why it wasnt the 1st single. The beat its identical to Girl GoneWild ad they tried to have another aproach
- Red Hot Kinda Love: Different but Annoying
- Shut Up: Filler
- Light Up The Sky nd Just a Fool- Great ballads,great vocals
- Circles: To repetitive but not in catchy kinda way
- Make The World Move: Different from whats on the radio right now, a grower, i like it
- Cease Fire: Love the pre-chorus, but the song not so much
- Sing For Me: Great not amazing, meh

Shut Up is pretty stupid. Could have skipped that one altogether.
I'm glad she finally learned to edit herself down to a 13 track album.

DeleteIt feels super short for an Xtina album. Her past three have been nearly an hour and a half long. It doesn't feel super cohesive but I do really like a lot of the tracks. I love the message in the songs. Yes, some of them are generic, but no one in the game rivals Christina's soulful, powerhouse vocals. I love the album, other fans will too. As a fan I'd give it an 8/10 but I think a good 2/3 stars come from the fact that I have really loved Christina's music in the past and it's great to hear new material.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, not my favorite Christina album! I think I am secretly waiting for to deliver something far more artistic that shows growth, than underwhelming Top 40 productions. I will always appreciate Christina's commitment to creating cohesive albums. I'm a pop music fan, and am simply happy for new music to jam to in the car, with the volume all the way up and the windows all the way down.
