Rihanna said the song would be "happy," "hippy," "laid back," and "hopeful" - does the song match her early descriptions?
Listen to the song below:
"Diamonds" is far from the Bob Marley, island-flavored type of "happy" and "laid back" many were expecting. In fact, production wise - it feels kinda mysterious.
For the record, "Diamonds" never leaked before its official radio premiere. Your favs label could never.
The song is on iTunes now!!
my favs would never release something this awful.
ReplyDeleteor me the instrument sound like Russian roulette....
ReplyDeletefirst time I heard, i'm not like it..2nd time just OK..
3rd time nice song... i think this song slowly grow in me..
but this song not good like Only Girl n We Found Love.
It sounds different from Everything on radio. Its either going to take off, or flop.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I would agree with that.

Its like.. one of those get-used-to-catchy-songs. I don't know... This makes me think of Nelly Furtado's new music> Still trying to get used to it.
ReplyDeleteso Your Body is really the best song that released this year.
ReplyDeleteI think of the recent major lead singles, 'Your Body' was one of the few that made me go, "Oh!" ...shame the charts probably won't reflect that, especially with some critics dragging it through the mud.
Deletelove it. had it on repeat all day.
ReplyDeletei feel like this new album is going to be more mature and emotional; similar to rated r, but not as "dark."
Sia´s demos must be so fuckin great that anyone that sings her songs ends up imitating her. Even a great vocalist like Christina, did.
ReplyDeleteI like Your Body and Die Young better, this is just not quite nice
ReplyDeleteThis song is nice. I'll wait for the remixes.
ReplyDeleteThat song that Willow Smith did a while back, about being you, this sound like her singing! how is it that willow smith can sound rihanna, with such an age difference? lol
ReplyDeleteLana Del Rey would be pleased.
ReplyDeleteSia should have sing this whole song herself, guarantee it would be a huge hit. Rihanna's vocal is just not strong enough for this song.
