Alexandra Burke's album "Heartbreak On Hold", which has been released a week ago, has debuted at #18 with only 6700 sales in the first week. A total FLOP, especially when you compare it to the first week sales of her first album "Overcome", which sold over 132.000 copies.
Wow... I've never expected this album to be doing so horrible on sales. I feel bad for Alexandra. I guess no one's here for her anymore. Her album isn't that bad at all to be honest with you guys, and maybe if she would release a ballad, she could save this era, since the UK hasn't been here for her dance music.
Its a shame really, its a great album, loads of potential hits.
ReplyDeleteShe has a wonderful voice but this album is extremely mediocre: pure electro generic dance music, she only wrote two songs, this work is so similar to her first album. For me, this is well deserved...

ReplyDeleteIf it had at least debuted at number 18 because of competition, but with not so bad sales, I wouldn't complain... But it's like Britney's In the Zone, it peaked at number 13 in the UK but was certified Platinum in less than a year, and had succesfull singles there. Hopefully Alexandra can turn the game upside down.
