The album is very.... SOUL/R&B. Monica is definitely in a different head space as she should be as a mature 31 year old woman married with two kids.
ReplyDeleteAlthough the songs are still relatable we still need our Hoodica songs and upbeat songs. Where's Set It Off & The First Night. I am definitely ready for the Deluxe to leak. I'm buying regardless.
Time to Move On is my favorite mainly cause it gives me "Misty Blue" teas and when I tweeted and told her it was my favorite song she DM'ed me and said it was her too haha.
I need to hear the higher quality deluxe edtion. It's cohesive & Monica's vocals are ASTOUNDING but these LYRICS & some of this production. Rico Love needs. to. do. BETTER!

After listening to it again... this album is very slow & redundant. Monica's vocals are heaven sent and she slays but I have to say that this material is just very boring.... I hope the deluxe has more upbeat uptempo tracks. You are Monica Denise Arnold who showed us the version of you we loved with After The Storm & The Makings of Me.... we know you got married & have kids. But come on... we need some more Missy productions and Jazmine to lace you even more. although Cry >>>>>>>>>>>> I must say Jazmine was coming.
