I'm all for new music, but Rihanna could use a break. At least she has time to sit down and record a quality album, change up her sound and write some smash hits.
If I have any advice, though, it's that Rihanna keep an eye on a release date that no one else big is using. She always manages to get her wig snatched at the last minute by someone unknown and by now she should definitely have a #1 album. It's kind of absurd that she doesn't. What kind of pop princess can't get a #1 album?
She also spoke on the new video with Drake, which I absolutely do not care about anymore. *middle finger*
Rihanna has promised fans her upcoming music video collaboration with Drake is "beautiful".
The 'You Da One' singer says the video for Drake's single 'Take Care' isn't like anything he has ever done before.
"I can't wait to see what all my fans think," Rihanna told Capital FM's showbiz reporter Kevin Hughes. "I saw it a couple of days ago, I love it."
"It's beautiful," she teased. "It's different from anything Drake has ever done."
Earlier today Rihanna confirmed she has recently started work on her seventh studio album and says she has settled on a "rough" sound for the record.
Rihanna and Drake are expected to unveil the music video for 'Take Care' over the coming days.
I'm always excited for new music from Rihanna, but she really needs to calm it down with it all haha. I'm glad her next album won't be out this year because that would just be WAY too soon. Having all this year to record it and maybe part of 2013 will finally give her enough time to get that #1 album!

ReplyDeleteI was honestly surprised TTT didn't go #1, although the album didn't deserve it imo. Loud was great and should've hit #1. Oh well, can't wait for her new music - I'm not even going to bitch about "taking time off" because it's said so much.

She does good over in the UK, she's had 3 #1 Albums over here (GGGB,LOUD,TTT)but she honestly needs to get out of the spotlight for a couple of years and come back in 2014/2015 imo.

ReplyDeletelike all the artists/bands she was up against were promoting like crazy and she only did a interview w/Ellen (shi didn't even perform) and X-factor which is nothing compared with nickelback or MJ Blige promo....
she just needed like +10k to get that #1 with TTT.... but that's all her and her team fault though.....
She's big now! so she can do whatever she wants!
