Here's another HORRIBLE performance of Katy Perry. She performed "Part Of Me" live on Let's Dance for Sport Relief yesterday and her vocals were so bad.
Out of tune, shaking, weird tone... just everything about her voice was horrible. And seriously... Katy... get back to the classy black hairstyle, this blue hair makes you look like a fool and a wannabe Nicki Minaj or Rihanna. Nicki rocks the wigs, Rihanna rocks the wigs... but you... I don't know...
Check her performance out below.
Edit by Martian: I'm gonna have to disagree with you here.
First, since when is Rihanna know for wearing wigs? Katy definitely rocked one way before her.
...and the performance wasn't that bad. I've heard much worst from both artists you compared her to. I think the dancing was bad, but otherwise the performance was mediocre.
She's still in her ET phase. No complaints.
ReplyDeleteHonestly Ive been looking for a contract since ages and only people like these get signed? WTF IS WRONG.
ReplyDeleteterrible song.not sure about the performance since most of these singers out there suck at singing live like Rihanna. This is even one of the bests ive seen.Better than all ever rihanna can achieve.
ReplyDeleteSince someone poised another artist into the mix I'll state this: Lady Gaga is obviously over exposed, but ironically and severely underrated and underestimated. Why do I say this?
ReplyDeletePeople think that because she's "over exposed" she's "overrated". This isn't true; she's Out There because she tries hard and she works hard with her team to be available to the press.
In fact, people generally think of Lady Gaga as an underrate pop act. They don't understand her NY theater background; in the future they may understand, as is the case with most people who die or live long.
Because of this she's severely underestimated. They don't realize like many of us by now that she's here to stay and her career is quite literally still beginning; her fanbase too is beginning to sprout and mature.
It's only a matter of time before people realize this en masse. But unlike certain "queens" out there with the old world order "off with her head" mentality, Lady Gaga is a benevolent being: a Goddess, here to remind you of your inherent and personal godhood.
The new world order is here. [It's not what you may think it is too.]
[UPDATE: her recent announcement of a media cold shoulder is to create the SPACE for them to realize how generous she's been to them. For now she'll focus all her attention on her personal life and creating more content for her Little Monsters and fans alike.]
Forgot to append these links to my short blog post above, under the title "And she still didn't win a Grammy":

Compare these to Katy Perry's recent performance and Rihanna's latest live performances: POP TO POP.
Comparing Lady Gaga to other genres is disingenuous and unethical. It's disrespectful to either artist, so I don't do it.
I will compare her to other pop acts thought, including Nicki Minaj whom is now official Hip POP. Not to destroy another artist, but to provide perspective.
You're free to like who you like. You are BORN THIS WAY: awareness is KEY.
