The Voice vs. X-Factor: Which Do You Prefer?

Thursday, February 9, 2012

Though a ton of people still watch it, American Idol is pretty boring and draggy now. Every I know either prefers The Voice or X-Factor. Well, Simon Cowell seems to think that the shows will be at war with each other for rating this year and I'm not convinced that he's wrong. Both shows received massive ratings last season and have been all-a-buzz over the winter.

I personally don't care for either show. The Voice comes on Monday's, and usually I'm catching up on Adventure Time and Regular Show. X-Factor comes on Tuesdays when I watch Sarah Michelle Gellar be the most cunt blond on television. They really don't stand a chance in my mind...

... but my mom likes to have late-night marathons OnDEMAND so I watch them then.

Here are some reasons to watch both shows.

Simon Cowell vs. L.A. Reid - Seriously, it's like watching Kanye West argue with Kanye West. They both have huge egos and act like shady queens.

Christina Aguilera vs. Adam Levine - I'm convinced he is dicking her down between tapings. She's always riding his jock. Every time he speaks, she interrupts him. Every time he pushes his button, her chair whips around. It's kinda cute...

Nicole Scherzinger's Is Eventually Going To Piss Everyone Off - This chick makes me feel great about my life. Even though she's rich and "successful" ... she can't seem to catch a break. Plus, the US pretty much hates her for guiding Rachel Crow to a live meltdown that still cracks me up to this day, especially because it wasn't Nicole's fault.

Cee-Lo's Cat - What the hell is up with that thing?

Christina Aguilera's Boobs - I've noticed that she's slimmed way down for the show, but I think really what's going on here is that the pressure from the belts she always seems to wear around her stomach, are redirecting her extra weight to her boobs. Christina has always had a nice chest, but sometimes I feel like those things are gonna get up and walk away. I wonder if her bra gets compensated for all of that heavy lifting.

Paula Abdul's Constant Meltdowns - I've never seen anyone cry as much as this woman. She reminds me off that lady in the commercial with the robe with eyes.

The Spinning Chairs - My favorite part of the voice is trying to decide who will turn around. You can always tell when Christina WON'T turn her chair around, because she looks like she's thinking about what she's going to eat next. Plus, I admire that it isn't all focus on looks or personality.

The Performances - The performances on X-Factor are usually a lot more grand and entertaining... though the performers are usually stiff and lackluster. I guess everyone can't put on a show like Beyoncé.

Which show do you tune in to and why?
