Before Billboard changed the rules up to help balance out the point system of the Hot 100, Justin Timberlake was sure to hit #1. Unfortunately, Billboard is the Destiny's Child of charts and changes every few months. That pushed Timberlake down to the #4 spot, which is still an incredible debut consider how difficult it is to debut in the better half of the Hot 100 nowadays.
The #1 spot this week belongs to Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, who's trendy new his, "Thriftshop," has take the social world by storm. Billboard noted that their #1 was "by a fairly comfortable margin."
In other news, The Lumineers (#3) and Taylor Swift (#5) were once again blocked by Bruno Mars, who only slipped to #2. will.i.am & Britney Spears continue to exceed expectations and stick at #6 for a second week. Swedish House Mafia, Rihanna, Justin Bieber and Phillip Phillips round out the top 10 in that order.
