Beyoncé Lands $50,000,000 Deal With Pepsi

Sunday, December 9, 2012

Oh, so you though Bey was just going to have a normal era? Hell no! She's not taking any chances on settling for another era as mild as 4.Though the album went on to sell moderately well for someone of her stature, everything was incredibly mishandled due to leaks cause by a security issue on Sony's behalf.

So yeah, the Superbowl isn't enough! Neither is her $4,000,000 private performance in Vegas on New Years (which will probably produce a TV special or DVD)! To sweeten the start of her new era a little more, King B is negotiating a $50,000,000 deal with Pepsi Co., completely overshadowing their deal with Nicki Minaj.

According to the New York Times, as well as various other outlets, the global deal includes not only a slew of commercials for an extended period of time, but tons of product placements in her videos, tour sponsorship and even a limited edition Pepsi can feature her beautiful face. The can will hit Europe first in March and later in the US in the following months.

While details of Beyoncé's album are being kept more secretive than the location of Gwen Stefani's fountain of youth, but obviously she's been recording for the better part of the year. It's even reported she has been making secret trips to Nashville to record on Music Row, since Nashville is a much quitter town and because she has several label connects there.

  2. Holy. Crap. Beyonce. Good for her.

Also, I wouldn't quite blame 4's underwhelming success only on the leak.. it just wasn't as good as her last album. Much of Teenage Dream leaked and we all know how that story ended.

  3. Lol this is seriously over the top promo. Why waste so much money on being on the top when she is clearly at the top. No one will take her spot she's already made histoRIH and a legend to a lot of people. Her name is all the promo she needs.

  5. 4 was a great album but it wasn't very commercial unlike IASF which had a few commercial ballads on one disk then another disk with full of singles.

    1. 4's a great album, but it really had limited crossover appeal because it was the most straight up r&b album she's done and anyone looking for club songs or something to twerk to or sing along (horribly off key to) while stuck in traffic was sit out of luck.
