It's been a big week for sales this week. I already posted about Adele's amazing achievement, selling 700,000 albums, but we also had quite a few artist top their highest sales debuts in digital sales.
According to Billboard, Katy Perry checked in at 411,000 sales for "Part of Me" which marks a tie for the 2nd highest debut for a female (along w/ "Hold It Against Me" by Britney Spears, Lady Gaga currently holds the record with 488,000). This makes Katy's 5th song to debut with over 300,000 which is a new Billboard record. Also flying high this week was Nicki Minaj's "Starships" which sold 204,000 copies, enough to make it the 7th best selling single of the week. Chris Brown debuted at #9 with "Turn Up The Music," selling 180,000 copies.
On the album charts we see some major Grammy boosts. Adele's 21 sold will spend it's 21st week at #1, making it the album with the most weeks at the #1 spot ever! Bruno Mars' album Doo-Wops & Hooligans flies up 22 spots to #8. Own The Night by Lady Antebellum saw a boost of of 8 spots, bringing them to #9.
Also, big news for Kelly Clarkson fans:
Kelly Clarkson becomes the first artist in billboard history to hit #1 on the Hot 100, Pop, Country, HAC, AC and Dance charts. She lands at #1 this week on the Dance charts with "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)."

You forgot to mention that Adele makes history as the first female ever to place three titles (RITD, SLY, SFTTR) in the Hot 100's top 10 concurrently as a lead artist.
