Adele Claims #1 on Hot 100, Minaj Gets First Digital #1

This week showed a lot of change on Billboard! Adele claimed her 3rd #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with "Set Fire to the Rain," and takes a nice seat at the top with her competition for next week, Nicki Minaj & Kelly Clarkson, lacking the airplay needed to to really keep up. Speaking Kelly Clarkson and Nicki Minaj, they both also made major jumps in the top 10 this week, Kelly moving up 13 spots to #8 and Nicki Minaj's feature with David Guetta hops up to #4 and also gains the biggest digital gainer award. Consistency in digital sales could be the key to Minaj's first #1 single, especially if her radio spins continue to multiply the way they currently are. Also, check out Katy Perry inching her way into the top five and Jessie J sneaking into the top 10.

On the sales side of the things, Adele, Minaj and Clarkson also battle for the top spot. We also see Tyga making major moves with his urban hit, "Rack City." Unfortunately, he needs quite a bit more airplay to make the necessary moves on the Hot 100 charts and land a #1 single.
