Yesterday the Queen princess something of pop-rock announced the title of her new single "Here's to Never Growing Up" on Twitter!

The track, which releases next month, is produced by David Hodges and Martin Johnson (they're from that pop-rock band Boys Like Girls).
Sounds exciting. I've always felt a little something for Avril...but the track sounds kinda immature for her - that direction totally didn't work for her last lead single "What the Hell?" so I'm interested to see if Avril is really headed down that road again like it seems she is.
Sounds like a song that would come from a Disney reject who isn't allowed to say bad words in public.
ReplyDeleteIt's not immature, lol, why y'all keep thinking she is immature? I mean, I don't understand is when these people try to use the fact that she 'never does mature music' and 'never grows up' as insults against her, and the reason I don't understand this is because of the artists they support. Would it make sense if I insulted somebody for promoting alcohol and sex through their music and then went and put on Ke$ha? Of course it wouldn't, as i'd be completely contradicting my own views.

Hair:
Bolded artists: The majority have had a variety of different hair colours, some subtle, some not, but they never seem to get put down for it, they only get praised on how hot they look.
Avril Lavigne: Is called a teen who needs to grow up.
Music:
Bolded artists: Have albums filled with songs you wouldn't exactly call 'grown up' and lyrics that are clearly aimed at a younger demographic (Now i'm not saying these artists don't have more mature songs, as they do, but they have a ton that aren't, and with Madonna, i'm looking at her more recent work).
Avril Lavigne: Has a few fun songs that are meant to be just that, fun. Songs that are supposed to make you smile, but again, is called a teen, needs to grow up, she can't write any mature songs, although 90% of her albums WERE grown up/dark minus TBDT which was meant to be silly/crazy.
Personalities:
Bolded artists: Again this doesn't apply to them all, but a few of them are known for being huge divas, with a variety of reportings stating so, but this almost seems to be a good thing amongst fans?
Avril Lavigne: Keeps quiet, has rarely said anything about other artists (that recent one posted on SIN was FAKE AS FUQ FYI and it was made by a pressed Christina fan) But apparently she's known to be a bitch (although there's no actual proof/reportings of this) and she's apparently made a career out of insulting other artists? Receipts please.
