Today, Sean Kingston premiered his new single "Rum and Raybans" featuring label mate, Cher Lloyd. Listen to the generic pop fodder below:
The production on this song is a blend of the Dr. Luke pop songs we were hearing in 2009 and 2010, and the Calvin Harris produced tracks we're hearing now. Not to mention the dance break after the chorus totally sounds like a song from Far East Movement. Never cared much for Sean Kingston, and this song does absolutely nothing to set itself apart from anything else we've heard on the radio over the past five years...but damn if I wasn't head boppin' a little bit!! I'm a sucker for generic hits.
Needed more Cher Lloyd though!
Nothing groundbreaking, but yeah good tune
ReplyDeleteSean Kingston needs to stop trying. Sometimes it is better to hold on to that good 15 minutes instead of making it a horrible 20.
ReplyDeleteCouldn't have said it better myself.
