Nekci Menij: Pop Culture's Mini-Phenomena of Summer 2012

In case you missed it this summer, stanning was knocked on it's ass by British animator David Monger's absurd and hilarious Nekci Menij show. The show, largely based on The Uncle Dolan Show (which is also fucking hilarious and sometimes terrifying) centers around the idea of the world's largest pop stars (past and present) interacting with each other like high schoolers. Shady, bitchy high schoolers. 

Unlike other shows that poke fun at a fans idea of how celebrities would interact with each other (ex. Got 2B Real), Nekci Menij is more than just shady comments and insults. The show is actually very detailed, like how Britney's laugh pokes fun at a lyric from one of her songs, "If U Seek Amy."

Each character in the show is the complete manifestation of stan delusion, like how Bayonse (the Beyoncé character) believes she is the greatest artist of all time, or how Gags (the Lady Gaga character) thinks she is the most original artist ever. The show also has perfect Britney's (Brinty) odd loss of personality, Rihanna's (Rhenna) daily hair change and Madonna's (Medoner) ... age.

...but the show isn't all scripts. There songs. I can't even explain how funny the songs are. In the episode below, The MDNE Tore, Medoner performs two songs (one full length) all the while the funniest characters, X-Tine (Christina Aguilera), Bayonse and Adole (Adele) try and figure out who the hell Lona Delery (Lana Del Rey) is.

The show has also created a spin off, Bayonse's Quen of Flop, which is a talk show featuring "Teh Real Quen B, Bayonse" and a special guest star of choice.
