Not gonna lie! I was terrified of getting "Starships 2.0," but this video actually slays lives. Great editing. No awkward dancing from Nicki. Lives up to the hype of the song.
Nicki looks amazing and I'm glad she's not afraid to celebrate other beautiful women in her videos! The choreography at the end was a nice fun touch and the finale of the video was uber-cunt!

YASSSSSSSSE ONIKA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYAAAAAAAAAAYYY, Barbz should have fun with this one! :)
DeleteThis video is better than Starships, but it still sucks. I appreciate the clash of audio and visual cultures, but my high school broadcast journalism class could produce better. The cutting of horribly filmed and horribly angled shots just doesn't flow. I'd rather have a David Guetta over-effects video.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry but this video sucked. Nicki is making bank now, so this video shouldn't have been such low budget. She only had two outfits, which were pretty identical and really only two different scenes. It was so low quality. This bums me out because this is such a kick ass song and it should have been executed perfectly but unfortunately it looks like they just threw it together real quick.
ReplyDeleteYou can't seriously hold her to a POP artist level. She's not avant garde the way Gaga is, or bold like Madonna. But, it was a nice attempt from a female MC at doing a POP inspired record/music video. Go Nicki! :)
DeleteHow fabulous. :)She's almost there, that Nicki Minaj...
ReplyDeleteYou sound like a Madonna fan and I love that! :) Bold and to the point.
ReplyDeleteThanks for doing us Trinis proud Nicki! We love it :)
ReplyDeletebit disappointed with the vid. Like Starships, the majority of the choreography seems really lazy and doesn't live up to the song! Yes, Nicki looks amazing, especially with her bold outfits, but for a song like Pound the Alarm, the clip ultimately does not do the song justice!
ReplyDeleteThe dance break needs to have more energetic dancing!!!
