July is a very big month in the US, mostly because it's the dead center of summer and holds America's birthday. What better way to celebrate than with an all-american band from the 90s that's eyeing one of the most anticipated comebacks in ages?
Who doesn't know and LOVE No Doubt? Probably anyone young enough to stan for Justin Bieber, but you're going to learn today. No Doubt was the nineties. Hit's like "I'm Just A Girl" were bedroom rock concert anthems and just about every girl wanted to have the grungy girl-next-door feel and personality that Gwen Stefani exuded. There has never been and probably will never be a band as fun and upbeat as No Doubt!
People loved No Doubt because everyone could relate to their music, girls and guys, young and old. Even as they matured as a band, they still released music that everyone could listen to. Before they split up, they had a long list of singles that would never grow old and would always be remembered as classic rock hits.
My favorite No Doubt song is probably a tie between "It's My Life" and "Running," two of their later singles.
However, the band is probably more known for hits like "Don't Speak" or their first big US hit, "Just A Girl."
If you don't know No Doubt, you're absolutely losing. We are literally days away from a new No Doubt single, so you if you need a refresher course, I suggest looking them up on Spotify.
I mean, come on, how epic are Gwen Stefani's albums? Can you imagine her in a band!? Yes, it's amazing!
what about Hella Good? that song gives me life and sounds fresh like hell.
ReplyDeleteI can still cry my eyes out listing to the pain, and anguish in Stefani's voice in "Don't Speak"
ReplyDeleteMy first ND song wa s"A Simple Kind of Life" and it's still one of my favorite ND hits. I love so many of their songs, esp the newer ones.
