Premiere: Fukker Mikey, 'Drop Dead Radio'

Tuesday, May 8, 2012

A couple of months ago, kid DJ Fukker Mikey was featured in one of our spotlight post for his debut album Warriors of the Dancefloor, which I adored. "Monster's Night" is still one of my favorite house tracks from last year...

Now, he's amping up to release a load of new material. The first single from said drop I have the honor of premiering here.

"Drop Dead Radio" is an electro circus of sorts, showcasing a feathery keys lightly dusting retro 90s-styled video synths and a thunderous electric guitar that, at times, explodes into a hollowed dubstep breakdown.

For Fukker Mikey to be so young and amateur, he's biting on the heels of songs like "Tons of Friends"  by Crookers and "Scars" by Basement Jaxx, that play off of the same light instrumentation buried under heavy computer generated effects.

If you like, make sure you support. We definitely want this kid to keep making music. Who knows, in ten years, he could be the next Avicii or Tim Berg! It hits iTunes on May 10th.
