Marina has a better voice - for a start. she's got better tone and its more unique. Katy could be a hundred other girls. She probably has a better range, althought this song doesn't show it off.
She writes all her own songs, she's prettier and has a better body.
She has more style and more originality.
So, no i'm not hearing the similarities.
