I'm a little confused by all of this, but after something, I think I have it all figured out.
Last week, will.i.am reported his car stolen, though I don't think anyone cared.
A week later, a video appeared of the "thieves" spitting some ridiculous riddle about how they stole his car, which had his backpack full of cool gadgets. The footage seems legit, as Will has been seen with the backpack before and his Intel pass was inside.
While shuffling through CDs from his car, they show several demos, including a Britney Spears disc called "Easy." This would be a contradiction of the tracklist that made it's way online a few days ago which says the new track is called "Sexy, Sexy."
A second video showed unedited footage of a music video and parts of a song, "This Is Love."
Now, normally, I'd be all excited because they could potentially leak the Britney song, but something about this just seems a little fishy. What douche bags go through all this trouble for a will.i.am leak? I mean, I appreciate his talent and love some of his productions, but let's face it... he's not as big as an artist/producer like Kanye, who would definitely be worth the trouble. Plus, these guys are going through the trouble of scripting out these videos and Will hasn't had them taken down from YouTube? Please.
I think this is will trying to strike up some controversy. A genius plan, if he was a bigger artist. Christina Aguilera should have done this.

ReplyDeletewill tweeted yesterday he just completed the Britney song, so he is still finalising his album.
The supposed tracklist appeared online a few days before his listening party, on wikipedia, nobody gave it a thought, and it dissapeared soon after, though after his listening party a sort of domino game happened, loads of blogs reposted the fake tracklist, and since then more and more media have posted it on their sites and blogs.
Like you already pointed out, these videos confirm that most likely there is no "Sexy, Sexy".
Also will.i.am confirmed a few months ago that T.H.E. with JLO and Mick Jagger might not even make the cut.
and on his listening party he confirmed the following things:
- 2NE1 will appear on his album and he is proud of it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8KyoaRucFY
- Nicole Scherzinger might appear on more tracks http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ahOmSHUI7x8
So I guess we should not believe a thing until a reliable source appears and a confirmation from will.i.am himself. All tracklists so far have been fanmade/fake with as original source a unreliable blog or wikipedia, people just added some of the confirmed collaborations and made some tracklist.
