Artist of the Month: Mariah Carey

 

She's back! 

Billboard's Hot 100 Queen, Mariah Carey, is our Artist of the Month for August. Anybody with have a brain (and access to the internet) knows that Mariah is about to set the world on fire with what looks to be an awe-inspiring era. 

Last month Mariah announced that she would take a seat behind the judges table at American Idol, snatching Britney Spears' record for highest paid celebrity judge on Television, and dwarfing Christina Aguilera's earning. She also recently released the urban version and one of many pop mixes for her new single "Triumphant." Both of them suck, but don't worry because the pop radio version is EVERYTHING!

But Mariah's career's present state isn't the only reason she's our artist of the month. She has had a world-shattering career in the music industry, becoming one of the highest earning and most award artists, as well as having a talent matched by very few. Mariah Carey was the 90s and a lot of the 2000s. She infused pop and R&B while shaking up the industry with her alluring sex appeal. She sang, she acted and she would even dance every now and then. And now, 22 years into her career, Mariah is here, stronger and more beautiful than ever.
