Beyoncé's 'Leave Your Footprints' Campaign

Wednesday, July 25, 2012

Beyoncé.com has been updated. This time, the queen posted a new blog on her website which says we should get ready to "Leave our footprints" on the 19th of august.

Let's start speculating a little bit about this whole "footprints" thing.

The song "I Was Here" Beyoncé starts with the following line...

"I wanna leave my footprints on the sands of time"

So the whole "leave your footprint" thing is clearly about "I Was Here".

Diane Warren, the writer of the song, already speculated about the song a few months ago on Twitter. Something HUGE was coming up. Fans thought it would be a single release, but that hasn't happened.

When a fan asked her today if the whole campaign had to do something with that 'HUGE' something that was coming up, she replied:
So what could this be? Let us know your thoughts/idea's. We're looking forward to see what you guys can come up with.

    1. Considering the fact that she hasn't done anything music related in months, you can have a stadium full of seats

  4. i'm still mad that the one album by her i was indubitably here for was handled so haphazardly and all of my favorite songs got the shit shaft treatment for promo.

"1+1"--one of her best ballads and was only a promo single (and only a promo single in america at that) that got a live performance on american idol

"party"--song of last summer released in october! kanye in the video and andré 3000 replaced with j. cole...?! like seriously...?!

"i miss you, i care, countdown, love on top, rather die young, start over, schoolin' life, dance for you,lay up under me"--aaaaall great songs and worthy single options that took a back seat so "run the world" and "it sounded better when it was called irreplaceable" could flop for no one's sins and bring 4 with it.

(*also, honorable mention to the "put it in a love song" video in the wig crypt vault.)

in case you couldn't tell i indeed do have a lot of ~feelings~ about this.
