Artist of the Month: Cheryl

Just a fraction of UK mega girl band, Cheryl Cole has become a force almost as powerful as the group itself. 

Her album, A Million Lights, will hit iTunes exactly two weeks from today, and so far the music she's bringing already trumps Messy Little Raindrops. "Call My Name" has become somewhat of a guilty pleasure. Not a day has gone by since the release that I don't hear that song. That's saying a lot coming from someone who idolizes Nicola Roberts and formerly despised Cheryl Cole from being bigger with songs I didn't think were are good. Now, I find my foot in my mouth as Cheryl has be dancing like a fool every day. 

Music aside, Cheryl has also become a poster child for "sex appeal." I mean, she oozes it. Her fashion has evolved ten-fold and every photo she takes could be a cutout of Maxim magazine, even when she's bopping around her hometown in jeans and a t-shirt.

So, for completely changing my mind about her as a whole, I've decided Cheryl is the perfect candidate for our artist of the month! 

My favorite song is still "Fight for This Love." I love the way the synths seem to rain over the track. Then "Call My Name" just shows that she's adapting to changes in the music industry better than most who have struggled to adapt to dance music and make people want to buy it.
