Rarely am I ever floored by collaborations, but some just exude so much star power that it makes my head hurts. This is especially true when it includes my favorite artists. It happened once when Beyoncé and Shakira rolled around the smokey hardwood in the "Beautiful Liar" videos. It also happened a while back when Britney and Beyoncé almost duked it out in "We Will Rock You" for Pepsi. Oh, who can forget Jay-Z and Kanye's Watch The Throne? Epic.
Back to the topic at hand, the internet is pretty much infected with rumors that Britney will be featured on Shakira's first single on her next album. These rumors started when her fans caught wind that the single was produced by will.i.am. The rumor grew wilder when sources claimed that the song would sample on of will.i.am's leftover tracks from his sessions during Britney's Femme Fatale recordings.
While there's no official word yet, sources like E! Online (LA) have been talking about it for days.
On top of that, there are now rumors that Pharrell has already accepted the task of executive producing Britney's next album, which she hasn't even started recording.
All rumors, but fun stuff. We did guess that 2012 would be Britney's year of features. This makes us more excited than any other. Stay tuned.
