Electra Heart is shaping up to be the most electrifying pop album of the year. Dr. Luke's tracks don't disappoint as they follow in the footsteps of Femme Fatale and Teenage Dream. Plus I hear Greg Kurstin (The Bird and the Bee) penned some work on the album. Sounds insane.
I wasn't as excited about this album a few months ago, but with tracks like "Homewrecker" and "Primadonna" being on repeat for the past week or so, I am super pumped even for these short snippets (below). I also like that you still get some Family Jewels style tracks on the album. Ok, I don't wanna get preachy, just listen to the snippets!
*secretly prays for a leak*
Also, check out the acoustic version of "Lies!"

Actually, this isnt Dr Luke's work. He just helped co-produce two tracks. Rick Nowels produced more of the album than anyone else. Rick Nowels was also the main producer of the Family Jewels. Which is why some songs have the FJ sound to it. Either way, super stoked for this!
ReplyDeleteI really like all the acoustic versions of the songs, so i hope she release an acoustic version of the album!!
ReplyDeleteAlso, Greg Kurstin played a major part in making this album too. Which he should get just as much recognition as Dr Luke considering how important to music he is. He is part of the bird and the bee and has also worked with people such as britney, ke$ha, red hot chili peppers, peaches, kylie minogue, gwen stefani, foster the people, dido, kelly clarkson, dragonette, sia, nelly furtado, jason mraz, etc.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info, Kyle. I'll update the post.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I know who Greg is. I've been a fan since the Geggy Tah days.
ReplyDeleteI'm in love
ReplyDeleteIts funny because Ive never really been interested in production credits until recently and now I have to know this stuff! and Greg helped write starring role, living dead, and sex yeah. He also produced the three and also produced power and control.
